As the next incarnation of, the Impact Design Hub aims to bring together those working in public interest, social impact, humanitarian, and community design, and provide a platform for sharing and communication in order to collectively help grow and mature this field.

Open Source House

Open Source House provides sustainable and affordable housing in an effort to improve the overall quality of life in urban areas of the world's poorer countries. Through an online platform, designs of modular housing are shared, improved and upgraded in an open source way. This makes valuable and essential information on sustainable designs accessible to a large group of people.

Shareable is a nonprofit online magazine that tells the story of sharing. We cover the people and projects bringing a shareable world to life. And share how-tos so you can make a sharing real in your life.

Architecture of Necessity

Architecture of Necessity in an international triennial for sustainable community building. The 2010 edition resulted in 143 entries from 28 countries, 42 of which went on display. The triennal is run by Virserum Art Museum, a non-profit organisation with the aim of providing a public space for the narratives and experiences of ordinary people.


The 1%CLUB is a non-profit organization which uses an online platform to connect people with ideas in developing countries with people, money and knowledge around the world. The basic idea is that people or organizations can offer 1% of their time, knowledge and income directly to a development project of their own choice.

Building Trust International

Building Trust is a non-profit organisation working with charities and communities in need. Providing building support, design advice and education on sustainable principles of design and architecture. Be it building a school, a health centre or promoting affordable housing.
