Introduction
We are Vida Verde , a group of passionate environmentalists, artists and creators committed to conservation and environmental regeneration through education, art and web3, based in the rural area of El Hatillo Caracas, Miranda State, Venezuela, since 2020 we promote socially conscious programs that empower communities and promote sustainable living.

The goal is to have a stable nucleus Casa Común Raíces Verdes, a community educational space in Vida Verde where we can teach workshops on a permanent basis, so far we have trained more than 180 children, youth and community members in art workshops, ecological practices, self and bioconstruction.

Youth from vulnerable communities who only have access to public education.

  • Public schools do not function regularly: children only attend classes two days a week.
  • Low salaries: teachers are poorly paid, this has caused them to leave their jobs.
  • Migration: Migration of professionals also includes educators.

Impact
Our program bridges these gaps by fostering skills, creativity, environmental awareness and technological literacy, empowering young people to become responsible and innovative contributors to society.

Core team
Vida Verde was founded in 2020 and is led by its creator, Carmen Victoria Turmero, and her co-creator, Ivan Montti. Together, we began to shape this great dream in the cloud forests of El Hatillo, on the outskirts of Caracas, Miranda State, Venezuela.
We brought together professional friends, collaborators, and volunteers, bringing together several stakeholders, including community leaders:

LabProFab and La Maquinaria Pública, the team composed of Alejandro Haiek and Rebecca Rudolph, who have been working together on the development of adaptive architectural strategies, building components, and territorial processes. In the participatory process and pre-project phase, the team collaborated with Alejandro Vallejo of EntreNos Arquitectura. As part of its next phase, the project will launch an internship program in collaboration with the Master's in International Cooperation: Sustainable Emergency Architecture at the International University of Catalonia, which will allow students to participate in situated learning and contribute to the development of Vida Verde.

Prof. Morelba León, Coordinator of Agroecology and Food at the Fruto Vivas University, with theoretical and practical practices in our spaces together with the El Hatillo Scout Group and the Lenguajes del Sur Contemporary Dance Company of Zamir Naja, Briggit Guerra, Community Leader, among other local actors as an essential organizational part, contributing with their will and work force in self-construction.

Preparamos the land for the planting of the Agro Floresta
We have been moving forward with land clearing and preparation.

We cut organic material for general biomass, the soil of the land is clayey, this material helps us to improve the soil.

????Selection of native shrubs and trees.

These lands were deforested for sale , so there are no large trees, but nature is taking its spaces for us it is important the qualification and observation of the land and make a timely selection, of shrubs and small trees that will serve as allies for the trees that planted.

⛏️Terrazas in areas with steeper slopes

We will start with the super strip of land this area has a slope of more than 80% , here I need to make terraces to make the most of the land.

???? Infiltration ditches

Along with the work on the terraces, infiltration trenches will be established.

We installed a School Vegetable Garden

✳️El Classroom is The Vegetable Garden

It is a plan that brings Green Life to the schools, where we install School Gardens and teach the youngest students to grow their own food.

This garden will provide inputs for a healthier diet to the students of this school and will be cared for by the students themselves.

From Vida Verde we guided the activity giving all the necessary knowledge for the installation of the school garden together with the donation of the first 100 short cycle seedlings.

Five raised beds made with bamboo were built, the soil was prepared and they learned how to make fertile soil and finally we planted the garden in association of crops.
