Aim of the project is to build a school that is sustainable from the economic, social and environmental points of view, bringing architectural expertise and comfort to the Gaza Strip in a context of humanitarian crisis with technical solutions that reinterpret local culture and identity.
A new kindergarten for to the Um al Nasser community, the project aims at bringing quality and expertise in the fields of architecture, sustainability and teaching programmes to the context of the humanitarian emergency of the Gaza Strip.
Key element of the project is the Nubian Vault made of compressed earth blocks. A culturally evocative element, the vault recalls the structure of the pre-existing Women Centre from the same lot.
