JdB
My expertise:
Young architect graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Technology in Delft on a project concerning food security in relation to informal settlements in Medellín, Colombia. I am especially interested in urban research and design endeavors concerning places where formal and informal practices overlap. Before I worked in Caracas, Venezuela on slum upgrading and informal housing development projects in the Urban-Think Tank office (u-tt.com). For instance on the Torre Confinanzas (Torre de David/Tower of David) and in the San Agustín neighbourhood. Next to that I worked on several projects and writings during my masters with regards to slum upgrading. Among others these are topics I covered: fragmentation in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina; and the historical development of Medellín, Colombia during the last decades.
